Peter Mader

How did you get into film? What particularly attracted you to become part of this industry?

I got into filming through my great passion for skateboarding. Back then, I started recording my friends‘ tricks with a small camcorder. I quickly developed a passion for gaining a foothold in this area and improving my skills. Over time, I also discovered other areas of the advertising and image film industry.

For me, the fascination lies in telling stories about people and talents, and also in using videos to provide an insight into areas that are often hidden.

What distinguishes Tirol as a film region for you?

I love action sports and Tyrol is the place to be. For me, the Tirol is therefore characterized by the most diverse types of opportunities. Whether in the high mountains, on the trail, idyllically by the lake or running through the city jungle, in Tirol you can find the right spot for all projects.

We are curious: Tell us your favourite location in Tirol!

There are many beautiful places, but what always fascinates me is the square between the Haus der Musik and the Hofburg in Innsbruck. The mix of the modern building and the historical contrast of the Hofburg opposite, combined with the large tree and the greenery, is one of my favorite places.

And now: The stage is yours! Please introduce yourselves and your field of activity.

Peter Mader from Innsbruck. Mainly active in action sports, I realize advertising and image films, swing the camera (DOP) and supervise projects with passion up to the final cut.

My long-standing passion for skateboarding and my background as an engineer in mechanical engineering provide me with a perfect mix of versatility, creativity and a structured way of working, which I also apply to film projects.

In the course of my time as a filmmaker, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, which has resulted in video projects in a wide range of areas from luxury products, skateboard European tours, to motorcross hard enduro – where stones just fly around your face.

My field of application is extensive and I am always open to new ideas. I approach a project with a clear vision in order to give it a creative flip at the end.
