How did you get into film? What particularly attracted you to beome part of this industry?
When I started over 15 years ago as a trained make-up artist and graduate of an art history degree, there was the opportunity to work as an additional make-up artist on international film productions in the alpine region. There was always a lot to learn and the chance to be inspired.
What distinguishes Tirol as film region for you?
I appreciate Tirol – Tirol and its mountains are inseparable… However, there is so much more: small creative groups that think outside the box and can compete well in the international market. I know wonderful creative people here in Tirol in every area of the film and photo industry who work at the highest level.
We are curious: Tell us your favourite location in Tirol!
That will probably be at my place. My partner and I run a studio in Lans. Right next to the forest and still close to Innsbruck, we get to be part of exciting productions again and again and get to know people from all kinds of countries.

In the meantime, my film activities are mainly related to commercial productions. I like the familiar atmosphere on the set and it often makes adverse circumstances like cold glaciers or incredibly early or very late shooting times fade away. I get to go to places, especially here in Tirol, that I would never have discovered otherwise.
