Green Film Consultant Austria

The training to become a professional Green Film Consultant is available in Austria!

The in-depth training to become a professional Green Film Consultant for cinema & TV in Austria includes three modules lasting several days, in which Philip Gassmann teaches digitally together with the LOWER AUSTRIAN FILM COMMISSION – LAFC and their Evergreen Prisma. Lecturing guests from their (inter)national green network will also be present. Between the modules, the time is used for self-study and a project work with a practical focus. Finally, there is a written and oral exam by a rotating examining committee of experts and Philip Gassmann. After passing the final exam, participants receive the Evergreen Prisma certificate and a personal portrait in the LAFC Connective section.

In order to enable filmmakers in Austria to professionalise for green filming, the costs are covered by the LAFC.

Requirements for participation

The well-founded and practice-oriented further training to become a Green Consultant for Film & TV is aimed exclusively at interested persons who are actively involved in the film, TV and media industry, as well as specifically at production-related branches of the film industry and filmmakers who would like to pursue the new profession of Green Film Consultant Austria on a freelance basis in the future. In other words, specifically to professional filmmakers with as many years of experience as possible in their professions who want to immediately apply the knowledge they have acquired in the practical implementation of projects.

Selection process

Together with the Evergreen Prisma Network and the LAFC cooperation partner and trainer Philip Gassmann, places are allocated on the free-of-charge placement offer of the interactive and currently digital-only GFCA training. The course participants of the respective GFCA generations were/are put together by recognised experts.

The focus of the selection process of the experts is, among other things, on the immediate application in the practice of sustainable filmmaking, the underlying film professions of the interested persons, the current demand situation in the industry and, if possible, includes the personal motivation of the interested persons as well as general transgenerational and transinstitutional aspects.
